SDN 026 North Balikpapan only has 8 teachers for 223 students. Based on these data, there are 6 teachers for each grade level plus 2 teachers for special subjects such as sports or religion. Thus, the 6 teachers must teach several subjects including English. Therefore, it is necessary to improve English language skills for elementary school (SD) teachers at SDN 026 North Balikpapan. Improving English language skills can also be used for subjects through the development of creative and innovative teaching materials or materials that are supported by a lot of information, especially from English-language sources. Based on these problems, we took the initiative to hold community service in the form of short English language training for teachers at SDN 026 North Balikpapan.
